Hats, boo-boos, and more hats!

Daddy's typin tonight. Owen just gets bigger (and sillier) every day. Here's a little glimpse of what we see.

Apparently, having a little snack can be exhausting. Owen likes to lounge.

Hold on a minute, there, Rufus McBiggles...see, I think it goes something like this.

What's the point of getting on top of a box with a guitar-playing dog if you can't bring a few friends?

Ya, Dad's just chewin on me again. This is what we do when he gets home from work. (Check out Owen's raspberry under his eye. He's running more, which means he's falling harder.)

Did I mention that Owen is getting sillier every day? No lack of personality with this one. He's actually started doing things purely for the purpose of getting a laugh.

He may still be wearing pajamas, but he knows how to look cool doing it.

He's starting to love hats. It wasn't that long ago that he wouldn't keep any kind of hat on. Now he finds hats and puts them on without any prompting.

Oh, here's another hat. And some shoes...that don't match. And......that's it.

We all know that a hat and shoes means we're going outside, so let's go.

Seriously, quit messin around, and let's go outside!

Just look at that. No idea at all that more clothes might be a good idea. And not happy that the door still hasn't opened. I can't wait to show him this picture some day.

15 months

Owen hit the 15 month mark on Jan. 14th. He is off and running now and just getting to be more and more fun every day. He is starting to say a few words..mostly mama, dada, ball, and Dora ( which is funny in itself because he doesn't have a long enough attention span to even watch the show!) Every time I turn the TV on he says, "DORA????" (Dowa), then he waits to see if we can "find" her, and then he is off to do something else. Too funny. He is a big boy...27 lbs and 33 in. He has the potential to be a tall guy! It will be interesting to see what happens! He LOVES to play the guitar with Daddy and is still loving to sing and dance. His new thing is also to see how much dirt he can eat without me seeing it. It's like a secret little game he plays, and he cracks up when I catch him with dirt in his mouth. He is working on getting his last few teeth all the way through. Boy will we be glad when we can get a break from that!
Silly boy
New Spiderman socks
We had ALL the toys inside because it rained for a week straight.

Where's the doggy?
Mmmmm...dirt

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We had a great time visiting family and friends in Indiana over the holidays... EXCEPT for the fact that Owen was really sick for most of our visit. He was pretty miserable and just wasn't himself for Christmas. It was such a bummer. The fact that he was cutting teeth didn't help much either. All of that anticipation and he didn't really care where he was or what presents were in front of him:( Poor little thing. Luckily he was pretty healthy for the 4 hour flights to and from, so thank goodness for that! After the worst part was over, he had so much fun with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and some new friends.
This was taken Christmas Day.
Lounging with Grandpa
Owen LOVES animals. He loved playing with Ted, Bob and Jackson at Grandma and Grandpa Hake's house.
For the first time in 6 years, there was enough snow for us to take a ride. So much fun!
Owen loves his cousin Nicholas, and I think the feeling is mutual;)
He can be quite the ham.

Owen now has 15 teeth. A couple of them just popped through this past week, but we can see 15 teeth. Yikes!

Loving on Grandpa Hake
Loves pulling around his new bumblebee toy

Such a happy boy!

Merry Christmas!

It has been a little while since we've posted on the blog...so I included several pictures:) Recently Owen and I were lucky enough to get to visit family and friends in Indiana while Daddy was working in IL for a few weeks. Although Owen really missed Matt during the week, he got to spend a lot of time with both sets of Grandparents. During our trip, he went from just starting to walk to almost running! Before we left California it was all he could do to concentrate on each and every step, and now he bends down to pick things up and loves to carry as many things as he can squeeze into his little hands as he explores every inch of the house! He is getting very silly and loves to laugh and make funny faces. He is starting to say some words, which is sooo cute. We are looking forward to another fun trip to Indiana for Christmas. Owen is becoming a pro at this flying thing:) Merry Christmas everyone!
Owen loved watching Grandpa Fultz use the mixer!
Busted!
Look at my little round belly!
Again...BUSTED! I think I am seeing a pattern here!
Owen with Grandma Fultz, Aunt Lisa and Nicholas

Still loves books...
On our drive to Chicago, we had to stop and get coffee, so Matt and I had some fun dressing Owen up in my glasses. Owen thought it was pretty funny too. He will change his mind someday;)

Matching profiles??? I think so!
You can just see in his eyes he has a cold here...and the rock didn't taste so good either!

Movin' and a Groovin'

We have a walker! A few weeks ago he began taking a few steps at a time, but this past weekend he took off and never looked back! He gets sooo excited when he gets all the way across the room. From what I hear, I will be chasing and running more now than ever. Oh boy!
"Owen, where are your teeth?" This is the awesome face we get when we ask him that question! Tooo cute.

Loves "talking" on cell phones.

Getting excited that he made it so far!
Loves bathtime!!!!!!!!
