EARTHQUAKE!

P.S. We survived the earthquake just fine. I assume it feels like an earthquake just about every day in the womb! Anyway-I was a bit shaken up for a while but everything seems to be back to "normal." I used to be excited to feel an earthquake, but I can do without that feeling ever again. My heart was beating really hard as I held onto the kitchen table. Apparently is was a "medium" size quake. Good enough for me!

28 weeks...and counting

So we are now 28 weeks along and my body is starting to really feel it! I don't think I need to go into details..let's just say when Matt and I are ready to go somewhere, he gets up and takes off and I am about 10 steps behind...and then he remembers:) We're pretty sure this kid is going to be a soccer player, football player, or basically anything that involves a lot of kicking and moving. We have our next appt. on the 12th. and an ultrasound to make sure that "it" is headed in the right direction for arrival. After that appt. we start going every 2 WEEKS! THAT means we are getting close. Yikes. The baby's room is a "work in progress." It gets better, then worse, then better, then worse. One project always leads to another and we end up cleaning out closets and making goodwill trips that we weren't expecting to make. I guess you could say it's been good for us to reorganize and get rid of some stuff although my "sentimental-..but I'm attached to all this stuff packrat" husband would disagree:) Gotta love it.
Robyn and Derek came to visit and Matt took them bodysurfing

Before we went out for sushi...teriyaki for me!

SCHOOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! Yippeee... Finally, the school year is over! The last several weeks have been quite chaotic, so needless to say I haven't had much time to blog. I am now 23weeks. Time is flying. Baby Hake is quite a mover, kicking and turning what seems to be ALL the time. Matt felt it for the first time this past week.

The teachers at school had a shower for us. It was so fun. Here are some pics...and NO the blue writing on the cake doesn't mean anything! Hasta la vista...

Barefoot and Pregnant...In the Kitchen

Matt thinks he's pretty funny with the title of this post:) Now he is sitting here making up silly songs with the guitar about the baby. Oh boy...here we go! We are now almost 21 weeks. We have a routine appt. tomorrow. Crazy things have been happening to me lately...I have been quite forgetful..which I hear is typical. I walked out of the mall the other day and could NOT remember where I parked. The worst part was someone was driving slowly behind me to take my parking spot, and I had to turn around and shrug my shoulders to indicate I had NO idea where I was going. Pretty funny. About 3 weeks until we visit our family and friends in Indiana. Looking forward to it:)

Happy 30th Birthday Mommy!

So it's my turn to write:) I am now 18wks. We celebrated my 30th B'day and our 2nd Anniversary this weekend in Palm Desert in 110 degree heat. Call it dry heat, call it "not too bad"... it was really stinking hot. The baby took it's first jump in a pool, did a somersault under water, and heard it's mom cuss when she got stung by a bee. All in all, it was a great trip. We have our "big" ultra sound this Thursday when we COULD find out what the sex is, but we will will be turning our heads. Oh the willpower that will take! I wouldn't be surprised if Matt peeks...I might have to cover his eyes with my own hands. Ha!
